how long do the small tanks last? What kind of tip works best?Stones used on Granite,Quartzite,and shist

Using it after i have cut the stone. I cut the stone into a bowl shape. Trying to get rid of the cut marks with out using my pnumatic hammer.

You can remove material from stone with a torch, but you are not melting the stone instead the quick thermal expansion causes the stone to crack and the small pieces just get blown away.

I may be wrong, but I don't think it will work at all. An Oxygena acetylene torch cuts metal by first melting it with the flame, when you press the handle, a jet of O2 actually blows the melted materal away. I don't think you can melt stone unless you heat it as hot as the center of the earth. Try a diamond saw

For what purpose?

Why not use a tile saw?

if you want to see if there are minerals in an ore the process is not to melt the rock but to leach the mineral out.. In order to do this you need chemicals man!!

Aqua Regia, Cyanide heap leaching, the ore has to be pulverized with a crusher of some type first..
