Congratulations!!! Eating varies throughout pregnancy - sometimes even the thought of food makes you sick & other times you feel like you could eat a horse if it had ketchup on it!!
Watch what you eat - limit sodium intake & caffeine, if possible.
I know you're "eating for two" but think of it this way - the baby will get what it needs from you & you will have to lose excess weight after you deliver! That said - I suggest you speak with your ob/gyn for a target weight - mine gave me 25 lbs & I didn't come close to that - because if you gain too much the risk of gestational diabetes & blood pressure becomes a real issue. There are plenty of books, magazines, web sites that you can use to plan healthy eating - also look into pre-natal classes at the hospital where you plan to deliver! they are a lot of fun & a great source of info & support. Be sure to take a pre=natal vitamin every day - that's vital to your health as well as the baby. All those little bones growing inside of you? If you don't get enough calcium the baby will take what it requires from YOU! Teeth, bones, etc. So try to eat cheese, yogurt, drink your milk!
Rest plenty & keep up with as much exercise as you can & you should both do just fine! Good luck & again, congrats!!!!

I never had morning sickness so i didn't loose weight. I fealt like i was eating all the time. I ate about every 3 hours. I didn't even gain weight for about a one month span. In a healthy pregnance for most women they will gain between 20 and 30 pounds. That doesn't include the baby and water retention. I gained 20. Eat when you are hungry but don't go over 6 hours without eating.

The first 2-3 months of my pregnancy I was so sick I lost 15 lbs and couldn't eat much, let alone keep it down. After that though my appetite got a lot better and I can eat as much as I used to...and I seem to always be hungry! I'm in my 20th week of pregnancy now :)

I don't know about others, but sometimes I'm not hungry at all. When I feel that way, i just eat something anyway because the baby needs to eat. (like a salad, piece of fruit, yogurt, etc.....)
