You can't burn songs onto a non-blank cd with media player.

There is a lot of free software that you can try though. Look for the "multiple session" option which allows you to record several times until the cd is full.

If you want to add tracks to a cd you already have, you could first rip it (and delete the songs you don't want) and then reburn it with the extra tracks onto a new cd.

Try http://www.nero.com/eng/index.html for a trial version of their versatile software.

Also, you can't erase your disc unless it specifically indicates on the cd that it is a cd-rw (re-writable). Chances are that your disc isn't since they're more expensive and they have compatibility issues.

You could try it out though. Here are some the instructions for erasing a disc in Windows:

Music CDs that you play in a regular CD player cannot be multi-session. This means you cannot add to them. One of the steps in creating a music CD is finalizing the disc which is really closing the session. If you were using the CD on your computer only, then you could create multi-session CDs. You could save the songs in any format, not just AIFF (standard music CD format) which means you would be able to put hours of music on one CD and not just 80 minutes.

You have to leave the session open in the cd recording program you are using. That is a choice you make in the options you choose before you burn the cd. If you don't do that or if that option isn't available, you are out of luck.

You can't do it. Once the cd has been burned, that's it.

You can't, unless you have previously set it up to record multiple sessions.
