You can send it through Yahoo! Messenger too I believe.
Just click the SMS function and type in the number you wish to send it too.

In yahoo messenger, you can go to your address book and click on the phone sign by the person you want to text message. If the person cannot accept messages from you, a message pops up letting you know the recipient can not accept messages.

I sometimes email my phone from my yahoo address. This is how I did it. First, I sent a text message from my phone to my email address. Then, I checked my email to see what my phones email address is (the service provider never gave me the phone's email address up front). When I found that out I just sent myself a text message on my PC.

most cellphone providers have a spot on their website that allows somebody to send a text to another phone. This will show up as a system message, so it's best to put your name on it someplace...

Just go to your IM mesenger and it gives you details on how to send a message to someones cell.

Cingular: 2225551212@mobile.mycingular.com
Verizon: 2225551212@vtext.com

You can also text from many cell providers' web sites.

you must find out what the add is for your cell company. example. i have verizon wireless. for me to send a text message to my phone i must send it to my cell#. ex. 813-555-1000@vwrizon.txt something like that. ask your cell company for their add for cell users.

the cell phone has to have a wireless internet connection like mine to recieve them. but it costs a lot.
