Hi there,

If you believe you are under attack from a form of malware, the best course of action would be to download a Free Trial of Prevx1. The Free Trial will scan your computer and remove all infections it finds completely free of charge unlike trials offered by other security vendors. Prevx1 is currently reported as having the most powerful detection, protection and removal capabilities of all PC security programs available today - and is a program that everyone really should have on their computers right now.

This is an all-in-one solution that is able to remove all forms of malware (virii, spyware, adware, trojans, rootkits, etc) so it's no longer required to have 3 or 4 different programs to deal with each type of threat - Prevx1 will protect you from them all.

You can download the Free Trial from their website at:

RUN - regedit and locate the entry for:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
and see if it has the following key defined.
"NoFolderOptions"=dword:00000001
If it is defined, some program such as TweakUI or a systems administrator utility program has set policies in place to restrict the user from accessing the Folder Options. Those programs should be used to modify or remove the restriction. In the case of a restrictive policy installed by a Malware program, it would be necessary to just delete the KEY entry for NoFOlderOptions or change its value from 1 to 0.

If this KEY value is not present (normal default) or is already set to 0, then the code module that handles Folder Options is damaged or missing, and that could be difficult to locate and fix.

Not sure about that specific problem, although you may want to go to the AVAST Antivirus web site and download (it's free), then run it on your computer. It has been known to detect and clean 30 viruses that Norton Antivirus did not. Run the AVAST asap.
