when i put in a new tampon i start to get really bad cramps that last for hours. these cramps sometimes make me wanna cry cause they hurt so bad. what should i do?

even when im just have a pad on they hurt so basically anytime.

Yeah, I think it is menstrual cramps, un related to the tampon.

Limiting caffeine intake before your period helps.
Taking Vitamin E and/or Evening Primrose Oil capsules everyday throughout the month helps.
Regular exercise helps.
Ibuprofen (Advil) is better than acetometaphin (Tylenol) or aspirin.

In my experience, nothing will get rid of it completely.
Just relax, read a book, watch a movie and take the day off if you can.

try taking some midol or getting on the pill. My cramps have gotten alot better since I've been on the pill. But if your cramps are really bad you should really see a doctor

they may just be cramps from your period and not your tampon since you say you are having them with pads also.

try curling up in a fetal position in your bed or in the bathtub. it works. otherwise use painkillers, like midol or pamprin. i've also found advil works just as well.

cramps affect every women different...one month you might have them and anther you might not....try a heating pad or some midol..but there isnt much relief for cramps at least for me..and you might want to talk to your OB about this he/she might be able to help you out some...

Maybe you have an infection im not sure.But you should see your doctor.
Tampons are dangerous as they can cause toxic shock.
You just may be having painful periods,which you can also get help with,jeez i wish i could help.:)

Hi you need to go see your obgyn . I had the same thing and it turned out to be Fibroid tumors .
