Has Dave Mustaine (Megadeth) finally proved that he rocks harder than Metallica?

Question

If you compare their most recent efforts, Mustaine clearly comes out on top. If you compare older albums, Megadeth's "Peace Sells . . . but Who's Buying" clearly competes with the best of Metallica's offering. Plus, Mustaine is the more accomplished guitarist. I don't see why he wishes he had been able to stay in Metallica.

I couldn't agree with you more. You're right though Metallica's newer albums weren't that great at all. I couldn't even bring myself to buy their St. Anger album because it just sucked. Throughout the years Megadeth has been hardcore on all their albums. Kirk Hammet is good don't get me wrong but it's a damn shame that Mustaine had to leave Metallica when they first started. Just think what Metallica's music would've sounded like throughout the years you know.

That was ever in question? Even at their best times, Megadeth puts Metallica in the shadows. Metallica sold out, thats why they have better name recognition. Megadeth is the best metal band ever. They have actual lyrics but still know how to use that thing called a guitar.
