This is pretty entertaining to me. Some of these questions are so out there. I also chat with some of my other bored friends! And since I'm the only one here, I occasionally take a short nap. I know, horrible huh!!

Find efficiencies. Ask Management for a project. Get up and talk shop with your fellow associates. Basically stay active in a way that is beneficial to the company since they are paying the bills. This will also allow management to see that you are thinking outside the proverbial box.

Do you job and you won't be bored! or It all depends on what you do for a living to be entertained. Read a book you love or learn something new!

I have developed plenty of strategies. What amazes me most though, is how I am still adept at avoiding the type of things that I say "I would do if I had more time." Things like writing thank you notes.
Online / computer games (mostly things like euchre and hearts and freecell)
Reading (sometimes books, other times, news sites such as cnn.com and howstuffworks.com)
Checking and sending email (I like to keep in touch with friends that have moved away)

If you have a sit down job, you can bring a book, draw, do puzzles, make faces at the person next to you....
If you have a job that you're moving around, sing, dance, make faces at the people around you... be silly, it will brighten your day if not someone elses.... Oh, and think about what you'd do with a million dollars....

I start clapping for no reason. I can usually get 4 people to join me. I also look at what my co worker is doing. And when he is on the phone if he does something odd or if he has something odd on his screen I will yell "WHAT!!!!!!" in a high pitched voice.
