I'm going to New Orleans next spring from May 17 - May 21, what is the weather usually like? And how should I dress? Lists are always nice. Part of the time I will be at a convention but I may be going out a bit.

[I'll of course only be going provided it doesn't have it's *** kicked by another hurricane.]

I was in New Orleans less than a month ago and it is NOT flooded! I use to live there and in the summer you need to wear loose fitting shorts and cotton tanks! It is usually around 90 degrees during the day by the middle of May. Have a great time, but stay out of the alleys on Bourbon street.

Very cool clothing is very important... especially if u are used to cooler/non-humid climates.

Seen people who are used to extreme heat complain because they are not used to the humidity.

So wear shorts, loose short sleeved shirts, etc.

I think a flak jacket or bullet proof vest would be the best.
