Every one may be saying that the bones weren't made of stone, but does it matter? No matter what bones are made of, they are not the principle mechanism for moving. As long as the supporting materials (bones) have movable joints, the muscles can cause locomotion.

Their bones were not made of stone - those are fossilized remains of their skeletal structures. When a bone becomes fossilized, the compounds that comprise the bone become petrified and change from their initial physical property to the stony property that we are accustomed to seeing in museums everyday.
