I thinking about opening a home child care center for up to 6 children. I love children and would like to focus on about 3 or 4 to offer more personal care. Can anyone tell me the doing weekly rate where you live? I would love to hear from other providers. While I would love to do childcare I'm not sure I will be enough income to live on.

Hello,
What state do you live in? Where I live childcare providers can be paid directly by the state through a sponsored program - for licensed daycares they pay around $25 per day and for unlicensed around $10 per day - with the cost of childcare being so high you could charge upwards of $200/week for infants to 3 yrs old and actually get customers.
Are you licensed? Do you have a client base?

If you're looking for assistance with getting your home daycare started - my company can assist you. Visit us at www.tdwmanagement.com and complete the contact us page and we'll work closely with you to get your business started and generating revenue.

You might also want to check requirements for opening such a business in your city. Many cities have requirements as wellas licensing procedures.
