I don't think it was all rambling and I do agree with what you say. Americans are, for the most part, comfortable with who they are and if that is arrogant then oh well.

Yes you are rambling that is! The Europeans consider us loud, arrogant and annoying. They have had many experiences with American tourists who put down everything in their country while dining or shopping, and the do this very loudly. Not realizing that many Europeans speak English. They are insulting and cruel. Besides that America is a boastful, arrogant country that tells everyone else what to do. In most European countries people get 6 wks paid vacation( did you know that?) They get health care,( and they do not have to wait 3 mos. but so what every woman in this country has to wait 3-6 mos for a mamogram), time off to care for sick or elderly parents. That most businesses close for lunch from1-3 hrs. They are very different then we are. And in their view we over consume, drive rather than walk(which they do alot of) and worship the God called MONEY!! Why would they not dislike us?? OK I have now given you the reasons for their view of us. Did I answer your question???

Because we ignored the U.N, and went to war on the ASSUMPTION that there were weapons of mass destruction, and there weren't, but we acted unilaterly, which gives a message of arrogance. If we don't want to be looked at as arrogant, then we shouldn't do arrogant things. You would wait in line for prescriptions, if you needed them. Many don't have health care in this country. Socializing healthcare is meant to help the have nots. IF you turn a blind eye to those Americans who work, but aren't supplied with healthcare from their job, that is also arrogant. Did you know that we have the infant mortality rate of a third world country? Sure, if you need some rare complicated procedure, come to the U.S. But basic preventative care? Forget it. Your children will die from simple preventable diseases, all because the rich need to have choices, and screw the poor and their lack of healthcare. You know, I bet that if you actually DID need an MRI, you would wait for it. Easy to rant when you are young, healthy, and insured, isn't it?

In comparison to most folks in Europe, some Americans can come off as quite brash. Comparable to someone from Boston Beacon Hill moving to Dallas Texas. Quite a culture shock as Texans are not known for holding what they think inside. I don't know what you mean about the weight thing. There are published reports that by the year 2020 English will be seeing more children dying before their parents due to the weight problem. That may not be true for the rest of Europe, so can't speak to that. As far as men's fashions, I think its just a matter of peoples taste. I think these baggie shorts to the knees with your boxers showing is absolutely God awful and would like to see those people arrested because it is so fashionably offensive to me either that or be able to turn a doberman loose on them and watch them fall flat on their faces because they can't run normal. Either way I would derive a few laughs.
I think we just should embrace our differences and enjoy the scenery.

I am sorry but did you just disprove the obesity epidemic and deduced the physiology of an entire continent to that of a single man.
Duuuuuuuude... Sweeeeeeet... Duuuuuude... Sweeeeet...
words fail me... but I do believe you are a KING among men.
Perhaps... just perhaps it is smart remarks like these and the subsequent feeling of one upping the rest of the world that gets that kind of a reaction from everyone else.

Let me first ask you ..who are the real americans..those poor natives who were shipped to europe as slaves or killed by the brutal spanish invaders?.. are you talking about them..? if you are talking about those natives then europeans are wrong in calling these natives arrogant.. if other wise the europeans are right because they are calling their own offsprings arrogant..

Rambling or not, I would agreed in most parts, though I think the British are the exception.
