Oh dear, I don't know how I feel about that. It was stupid and cheezy when I was a child. I don't know how I'd feel about it now. Even in my mind it hasn't aged well. Kinda like the dukes of hazzard. That one hasn't aged well either.

I just Googled "Welcome Back Kotter" and found out you are right!
It is being produced by Ice Cube and he will play the lead.
The story will move to L.A. from Brooklyn where the tv series was set.
Gabe Kaplan was quoted as saying he liked the idea and thought Ice Cube would be a great lead.

it doesn't surprise me at all..I mean they can't leave anything alone right? lol I'm sure one day they'll get so desperate to remake mr. rogers into a movie too.

OMG!! Please tell me that is a rumor!! The remakes they have done so far have been horrible!!! And so VERY STUPID!! Please stop this madness!! Good question!!!
