Science hasn't prove that soul, spirits, ghosts don't exist. However, if they do exist, it would defy mainstream science. Read my article about it:
Do Ghosts Exist?
For the last millennia, certain rare people have reported sightings of ghosts. Are they really ghosts? Or are they just an illusion?
I for one do not believe in ghosts, even though I strongly believe in aliens. There are many different things that can explain a ghost sighting or “feeling”. Most people, before they see a ghost, they feel a chill. Well, sometimes when you’re really scared, you shiver, and that effect may be mistaken for chill. But what about seeing ghosts, how do you explain that? Well, as you know, what we see is not what it’s actually there, our eyes detect electromagnetic radiation and our brain converts that radiation into a picture. So what if there’s an electromagnetic field around that area, the electromagnetic field can mess up how your brain interpret things, and those fields may become visible as ghosts! Lately, scientists have also concluded that infrasound, sound to low too be heard, may contribute to your brain’s interpretations as well. When there is infrasound, you start feeling that there is a presence near you, when in reality, there’s nothing. And there’s always the possibility of hallucination either with an illness or a drug.
However, could there be another, not so skeptic explanation for ghosts? Could we be mistaking them for aliens? Scientists are always intrigued by the possibilities of higher dimensions. Imagine this, two universes, each only 1 mm away from each other, yet each of them is tens of billions of light years in radius. All they need to be is in a different fourth dimension from each other, and they’re totally out of contact from each other. Or are they? Could aliens be using holes in space to go through a portal to put only a very small portion of their body in our 3 dimensions, so small a portion that it’s transparent? It has been hypothesized that gravity may be able to escape our universe. Could the universes’ huge amounts of gravitational fields be the cause of ghosts? We’ll never know.

The purpose of science is not to prove or disprove, it is to find the best possible explanation. So far there is no hard evidence for these things. I think that we do not even know what our brain is capable of. We can fabricate amazingly complex dreams, why not spirits and ghosts. I think that spirituality is a coping mechanism for those who are scared by the thought that they will cease to exist after death. It is comforting to think you will live on in some way. So it is necessary to believe in these things so that people have hope. I also believe that maybe some people are more perceptive and can sense more things about their environment than others. For example we can only sense a few dimensions with our senses yet mathematically we think as many 11 dimensions exist. So maybe this is an explanation for why some are more intuitive than others.

science hasnt proved that all that is rubbish, if you take a scientific approach, there is no need to believe in ghosts or spirits or souls in the sense that you think has been rubbished, because there are expelnations for these things that do not posit a dualistic view of the universe.
science doesnt disprove anything, it tests hypothesis and it fits the data to that in tho hopes of making a better hypothesis.

Because scientists investigated bashful ghosts. :)
More seriously, I do not believe science has disproved anything in regards to soul, spirits or ghosts. In fact from what I have read they have been trying to some how use it, and then there is quantum physics which I understand makes the possiblity of a God or spirits mathematically possible.
Then there is sites that tell of the CIA teaching and using remote viewing as a means to gain secrets and to spy on other countries and their doings.

Science has only proved that it can only work within the limited bounds of the assumptions that it is based on.
The soul, spirits and ghosts have not been quantified as they can not be measured weighed as they are intanglible...
Without quantification, science doesn't really know what to do with things like this so tends to look at the messanger rather than the message and label them as nuts...

I totally agree with you. Since science has proven that we are attracted to the opposite sex because of hormones, true love does not exists as well.
A question though, since when has science proven that the supernatural is all rubbish?
Perhaps air was non existent till we proved it. We probably foolishly believed we were breathing.
Sarcasm does not exist either since science cannot prove it?

science hasn't proven that nor will they. How do you even go about proving something like that with the scientific method? If they do exist, these things operate outside of the laws of physics and you can't exactly put 'em in a test tube. Even if you can prove that you can't detect them with any known methods, people can still say "They're spirits. Maybe they can't be detected.". And they'll be right. You can't prove that something that can't proven wrong isn't right. Logic is messed up like that. sorry....

People have faith in these things. Faith is believing in something even when it cannot be proved through scientific methods. Science can only prove material things. Spiritual matters are abstract concepts and therefore not material, cannot be proved scientifically and therefore cannot possibly have been proved to be rubbish by science.

Has Science actually disproven the existance of beings beyond comperhension...Let me guess...you don't belive there's other life in the universe that we have yet to discover or understand, correct? So far as the soul goes...you are awake, alive, and thinking, right? Assuming on soul you mean after death than I'd have to agree that we merely cease living. We may/might continue to exist through our good works/deeds and those around us keeping us in memory, but the Soul doesn't linger on. PEACE!

I don't knwo about spirits and ghosts, but for a soul it is a matter of faith. Faith is something that should be endorsed by a community since it can bring a small local group together. Even the scientific community has admitted that they do not have explanations for miracles.
