Bush needs a better staffing agency. So does the US.

After viewing some answers i realize people are failing to get the question. Picking our diplomat based on who our enemy is not catering to them. It is attempting to find a way to get to the negotiation table. Do you negotiate with your property? Why would our enemy.

I don't really think she qualifies as a woman. She is more like a programmed robot that does exactly what Geoge Bush and Karl Rove instruct her to do. She has a pair of really mean looking eyes and knack for double talking that no one can match.

She is not qualified but she is has qualified as we are going to get out of this administration. At least she has more brains than Bush.

I dont know how she is qualified, but your point is moot.

the fact that she is a woman does not discredit her, just because our enemies "hate" women. they do not hate women, they just put them on a lower level than we do, they are property, an item.

but, her being a woman should only empower the U.S, since it shows that we stick to our rights and beliefs. bush IS his staffing agency, he makes the final decision on who is in his cabinet, and whether he is competent or not aside, has chosen her for a reason, which suggests that she must have the qualifications meeting the standards of a president.

Why would we stoop to the low level of our enemies?

Rice is respected by every country in the world because they know she's got Bush in her pocket and he won't hesitate to back her up with our military. The last time a Secretary of State was taken so seriously, Kissinger was in the office. I like the setup a lot.

They also hate Americans. Does that mean we should get a Jamaican or a Botswanan to be our lead diplomat? Look she is the chief diplomatic representative of the US people. If our ememies have problem with that, to hell with them.

As for qualified, if Sec'y Rice ever dances with Kim Jong Il (like Albright did), or chases after terrorists pleading with them (like Albright did), or gives nuclear reactors to despots seeking nuclear bombs (like Albright did) I would consider her unqualified for the position.

What a goofy question. Who cares what the extreme minority of terrorist think about women? Was clinton also wrong to hire Madeline Albright? The majority of the world look at our Secretary's of State by their abilities not by their color or gender. Be thankful this President is smart enough to put the best of the best on his team.

Dumb question. You are suggesting that our government representatives be picked for the job to make our enemies happy? Great, I think Osama bin-Laden should be president because our enemies like him. What, are you nuts or just overdosing on glue fumes? Did you even consider for one second how idiotic your question is, or are you just bored and felt like saying something ignorant ( again )?

Except that we don't negotiate with terrorists. And as far as the other countries go, she doing the job just as well as a man could.

Since when has the composition of our enemies dictated the composition of our diplomats?

Our enemies hate Americans, so nobody really qualifies.

The fact that other countries do not respect women does not make Condaleeza Rice unqualified. I do not agree with her but that doesn't mean I think she unqualified.
