First problem is that you haven't specified what's the kind of printer or any other information that would help me dig up the schematics to guide you properly with.

However, let's try using common sense, shall we?

Since the mouse got in to your printer, it's got have a way in ... which is, therefore, a way out!

Am I making sense so far?

Ok, now, you say it's half dead or starved; so don't you think you can entice it to come after a piece of cheese left outside which it can smell? Then you could sweep it away into the dustbin and throw the bugger out.

In the case you are too late, by the time you get this information, the option of opening the Printer cover is what you'll need to use to then shake the scamps body out of the printer.

There is that place that you open to insert the new cartridge and remove the old cartridge with, isn't there?

Well, you'll just need to open that to create the space to shake the little pest out with.

In the worst case scenario, you'll need to either have a mechanic make a very costly house call, or take the printer to the repair shop, which isn't too cheap, either; and have this done by professionals.

However, do use lots of disinfectant to clean up your printer with; because, just in case you didn't know this, the carcasses of dead rats and mice are what are usually blamed for carrying the plague virus.

Considering this, it might be well worth your spending the money involved in getting professional help quickly.

Hope this helps you resolve the issue.

Cheers.

What kind of help are you in need of? Do you need to know how to remove the mouse, kill the mouse, repair your printer? I'm not sure I can help you with any of those problems through the internet, but I can tell you that if you leave it in there it will smell terrible. I would either wait for it to die or kill it myself and remove its body. If your not patient enough to wait, you can squash it, poison it, shoot it with a bbgun, or try printing somthing and hope that the printer does the job for you. I wouldn't hold out much hope for the printer though.

I assume you mean the mammalian version of a mouse... not the computer mouse :-)

OK, you may not believe this but you can actually take a vacuum cleaner and suck it out of there.. I've done this myself. The mouse ends up in the vacuum cleaner bag. You take the bag outside (far away) and open it carefully to let the mouse out. This is the non-lethal method.

Why can't you just take the printer outside and let it escape?

Is this a joke? I'll get you a good answer anyway. All printers nowadays have a back that you can open to get something that's jammed in there out. Turn the knob and when the door opens, you'll see that little critter, and you should be able to get it out using something to keep it from biting you.

Did you put a piece of cheese in there? LOL
