it depends on what your daughter likes.
Universal is more oriented towards movies. They have rides and movie stuff, like if you went to a movie studio in LA or something like that. Islands of adventure (which I happen to love) is better for people liking roller coaster and adrenaline rushes... it is a smaller park too. Why dont you get a ticket that lets you go to both parks? I would go first to universal, and then to islands. You will spend the whole day, but you have enough time to do everything...

1st mgm & universal are two different parks, MGM is disney and Universal has the studios which an 11yr old will find boring and ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE which rocks and she will love you forever esp if she loves coasters. The Disney parks are ok but the animal park has one great ride a coaster "everest", mgm has 2: rock n roller coaster & tower of terror, Epcot is boring for an 11yr old stay away, and magic kingdom is ok but depending on crowds hit space mtn in tomorrow land then splash mtn, thunder mtn & pirates of carribean then the rest if you have time. I go for Universal Islands of adventure park every time my daughter is now 17. we live about 1 1/2 hours away. Just go early to beat the heat and remember where you park! Take your swimsuit they have water rides save for when you want to get wet & Have fun!

It depends on your taste. Islands of adventure which I prefer is coasters and rides and that sort of thing. I think the studios is a tad on the dull side but to each there own.

It depends. Does you daughter like calmer rides are is she more of a thrill seeker. In my opinion, Islands of Adventure would be more for thrills, while Universal has a little bit of both.

I would say Islands of Adventure, if she likes coasters. They have some amazing rides!

well you can do both parks in one day!
They really don't take that long, I've done that before.
Just get a ticket that lets you into both parks.
