I liked the Carpenters, too. They were very popular when I was in high school.
Karen Carpenter had a very lovely voice. It was very sad when she died. Who knows what more they could have done if she had some help with her eating disorder?

I'm a fan I grew up with listening to the Carpenters. They were great, didn't they have a show? I hated what happened to Karen, but that was back before they knew what disease she had.

I too loved them, but I really miss Andy Gibb youngest brother to the Bee Gees. He was a hottie and great singer.

It was a shock when she died. First time I heard of anorexia. Great singer. Unfortunately, turning into elevator music.

Karen's voice was angelic. Kurt Cobain and Janis Joplin...all the good ones die young!! At least their music lives on...

my dad LOVED her, if he wasn't married to my mom then i think he wouldn't have chased her down! it's a shame she had to starve herself to death.
janis joplin was gone too soon
and aaliyah was just starting her acting career and she left us too soon as well. even though her music genre is very low on my list, i really liked her!
