Why does it appear that many over-weight women insist on wearing tight hip-huggers?

The simple answer to this is that many women will wear whatever they think is in fashion, whether it looks good on them or not. For the more complex answers, you may want to read some Nietzsche.

Basically they do it for acceptance, and perhaps a little rebellion is involved, but apparently not enough to lead them to abandon the 'in' thing altogether. As a man though, you might want to be aware that they're not wearing them for you. They're wearing them for other women.

See, being trendy among women is like a symbol of status. Somehow it is more important to be trendy than it is to be sexy. Many overweight women would look quite a bit better if they were wearing clothes suitable for their figures.

...or better yet, if women of all sizes stopped defining their beauty and status by their bodies, and started dressing for the art of it. That would be cool.

Bill, it doesn't appear that way...it is really happening! Overweight women tend to deny that they have an "appearance" handicap, so they shop for the clothes that they find interesting regardless of their appearance. We live in an overweight country according to statistics, so seeing overweight women who just want to "do whatever they want" is very common. At this point, all we can do is "Live an Let Live". Hip Huggers will live on, sometimes they live on the wrong hips!

Over weight women want to be trendy just like their thinner counterparts. You also have to take into consideration that clothing styles are made for the thinner crowd, so hip-huggers happen to be the style no matter what size you are. Also, have you noticed that the thinner girls are wearing tighter jeans that give them a muffin top that if you ask me looks HORRIBLE.

EEEEwwwwwwwwwwwww, I know..... It is so gross!!!! I saw some girl sitting at McDonald's with her butt crack hanging out. What is this??? Plumming 101 for women???? I don't care who you are or what is in fashion, no one overweight looks good in hip huggers and tight tanks with their cellulite and flabby blubber bobbling around.... I am most certainly not the perfect size 2, and good Lord, I wouldn't be caught dead wearing that stuff....

y do anorexic lookin b@#!es wanna wear them too? Bcuz they want to feel part of the crowd and are tryin to make a statement that even tho i maybe over or under weight i feel comfortable in my body and i look good. I'm sure they feel comfortable in their body but they SURE DON'T look good

The same reason anybody wears the clothes they wear, Because they want to.

Overweight people have just as much right to wear whatever they want as anybody else. You dont like it? Too ******* bad. I'm sure theres people that dont like your sence of fashion either.

Honestly...because too many people look in the mirror, suck in their stomach, don't turn around, and think, "I look fiiiiine." This is, if they look in the mirror at all. Sometimes I wonder.

The term "muffin top" has been coined for the hanging-over flab, hopefully it will inspire some shame!

they wanna feel just as sexy as the other girls who can wear them and actually look good in them. whatever u do, try not to point and stare and poke fun off, u'll hurt the nice ones and get sat on by the mean ones................
