I have to be in Cherry Hill at 9am on Thursday. I am up in Parsippany, NJ. How much time should I allow. I don't know what the traffic looks like. Mapquest said 2 hours, so I am thinking I should leave at 5am to be safe and avoid a lot of the traffic. Is that right???

Things up that way can often get *very* messed up for no good reason. While doubling your time may seem a bit much, when you've spent over an hour in some traffic jam on the turnpike at 6:00 a.m., you'll be glad you did! Fill your tank, for sure, bring a good book to read in case you have the good luck to get there early, eat a good breakfast, lots of tunes -- and good luck. Oh, and plan some alternate routes, if you can. Getting a gazetter (page-by-page map, not just a Mapquest thing) can be a real lifesaver when you need to jump the turnpike and hit the side highways. Good Luck!!

Dude your screwed..... 2 hrs on a good day. THe traffic in the Cherry Hill area is frequently in gridlock. It's a cross roads with major roads like rt.38, rt.70, 295, the pike and the bridges to phila all close by. Enjoy rush hours and the speed traps.......

You should add 1 hour and 15 minutes to how ever long it takes you to get to the turnpike. Traffic will be fine until you hit exit 7A, and then pass exit 6. That's where most of the back up is. My recommendation is to leave at 6:15 and I think you'll be fine.
