how do i qualify for attendance allowance

I've just got it for my mum. You have to be 65 or over and in need of constant care for the higher rate, which means day and night, or need help in connection with your bodily functions during th eday for the lower rate. It means things like eating, washing, toiletting etc. Shopping, walking, house work and things like that don't count.
The DWP will help you to fill the form in (Tel. 08457 123456 for the form)....so will your local Social Services, or of course the Citizens Advice. CAB will sometimes do home visits.
It is tax-free and not means-tested, which means you could be a millionaire and still qualify if you need help. Good luck.

You have to go to the website that covers the state you live in and look for the type allowance you are trying to qualify for to see what the rules are for that state. Else, go to your local Health & Welfare Office

u have to be over 60 to get attendance allowance and classed as dissabled u may get dla benifit if u are under 60 and need help getting about or someone to help look after you go to dissibilty benifits on you pc it will tell you all about it and if you can get it
