Depending on if you are in the City or County, you could call in your local Animal Control Officer. Although bats eat mosquitoes, the bad outweighs the good. This is what I know when it comes to bats:

1. Bats produce very large amounts of guano and urine which are used to raise ambient temperature and humidity of their habitat.
2. The levels of ammonia and spores of this histoplasmosis fungus are both detrimental to man and unacceptable in any concentrations.
3. Bats colonize in large groups for both socialization, and the rearing, and protection of their young.
4. Bats like darkness and have radar-like hearing.
5. Bats have the same water consumption needs as all other animals.

1) Cut off any easy to reach supply of water.

2) Check around and see if anyone near you may have a 'CRITTERBLASTER PRO
PROGRAMMABLE REPELLER' which makes sounds that will drive out the unwanted creatures.

Or a bat spray....

3) Make sure the bats are out and seal any open areas where you have seen the bats entering your attic, or where you think they might find a way in.

4) Have your home checked for bat feces and thouroghly cleaned because guano (bat dung) can expell toxic fumes.

5) Recheck your attic and the places you've sealed periodicly to be sure reinfestation hasn't occured.

WORDS OF WISDOM:

Do not touch a live bat whether it is injured or healthy looking. Bats are not pets and are possible carriers of rabies. In the event of a bat bite breaking the skin - contact your local animal control for safety measures.

Good Luck on Getting rid of your unwanted attic dwellers! :)

Just hang a lot of old CDs in the attic. Each CD should be hung at different heights and in different places. The CDs tend to reflect an abnormal amount of waves that the bats emit and this disorients it.

you need to go straight to where they are coming in at. then if you plug it up then they wont get in, first you have to catch the bats u already have, use a net. it may seem scary but im 14 and at my dads house in just 3 days there were almost 70 bats in our log cabin. we figured out where they were coming in and stopped it. but when u r catching them wear a hat. dont let them get caught in your hair.
