are giving intelligent and appropriate responses to racially motivated questions. Yet it seems like the rude, defensive and abnoxious answers come from others, for instance, an asian girl who attacked me in response to an honest question. She even had a "thug" avatar and spoke ebonics; "Why you gots to insult black peoples?"
White people aren't out of the target area either! So many young white people, guys and girls, are very hateful and some even threaten. To me, this is a total contradiction of what they are trying to prove! If you do not like blacks, if you do not like mexicans, if you do not like whites, here's an idea; when you're out today, say hello and smile to every person of the race you dislike, that you pass by. Maybe not a great idea in your car, but in the mall, on the street, in a grocery store. You may change your mind!

I don't think the language and attitude is even about race anymore, it's the hip hop culture. That's why you have Asian, Mexican and every other culture trying to be "down", whatever that is. The music and images that are plastered everywhere are being idolized by these kids. They try to emulate what they see on the music videos. They probably drive their parents nuts! lol As far as the "intelligent" responses from blacks and the "hateful" ones from whites, everyone is different. There's no way to predict what's going to come out of someone's mouth - (or keyboard), just by looking at the color of their avatar. Some black are just so tired of being prejudged by the color of their skin. By the same token, some whites are tired of being penalized for racists acts they've never committed or agreed with. But no one listens anymore - everyone just reacts with blind rage. Until everyone is willing to shut up for a moment and listen to the other side, we're headed nowhere fast.

I recently posted a question asking why so many people are racist. I have noticed myself the racist comments on this site. The most popular response (from people who are/were) said it is because of experiences and statistics. One man even said that blacks depend on hand outs from the welfare system and commit the most crime. This is false. Yes, blacks are the highest % in the prison system, yet racial profiling did not occure to this person. There is historic proof that blacks get railroaded all the time in the judicial system. There are things that most people do not know about (they don't discuss in the media) that are designed to keep this race overall in a certain "place" in this country. Some people are really clueless about the genocide against African americans in this country. Somehow they believe that blacks should get over something. Blacks have yet to be treated equally in this country. There is great oppression for a race that has lost its roots. A tree without roots is dead. Other races had oppression in their past, yet none were forbidden to practice their own culture or forced take on another culture or die. There is alot of underlying racism and psychological genocide going on around here. Most people are jaded. And too many people believe what they hear. Media has always painted a vilinous picture of the African american community. So people believe it. Please find the Willie Lynch letter and read it. This will explain alot. Parents actually teach their kids to hate. Wow. . .

You said "more black people are giving intelligent and appropriate responses to racially motivated questions," but do you know that there are millions of black people all over the world? i think you can't assert that black peole are ____, asian people are ____ and white people are ____. All i want to say is that Human beings are the same, regardless of the color of skin, height and stuff.
The tendency of insulting black peoples comes from the tragic history; colonizing America, Asia and Africa from 17c to late 20c, by white peoples. This world present is made with the base of western ways of thinking and i can't deny that lots of people get attracted to Western.
By the way, I'm an Asian girl, from Japan. i hear many girls say, "i wish i had been born in America or Europe, with white skin, blonde or brown hair, big nose and tall height," which annoyes me, indeed. No one can choose his/her appearance, and what makes people defensive, sociable, intelligent or rude is the environment he/she is in.
I do like talking of issues like this. you catch a good point of view!

I don't understand it either. People can be rude or nice as they choose regardless. It's a reflection of their character, not their entire race. We should treat each individual as the individual they are and not judge an entire race for what a few people do. If I were to judge every race according to one person, I'd be racist against every race...even my own. It's just the choices of the individual and not the races, ppl....

Nice statement. You bring up an interesting point: those who are rude and hateful towards others are behaving in the exact manner in which they accuse others. You are right; hate breeds more hate and will never solve any problem or make anything better; it is far better and more effective to simply be polite.

What an excellent point. I don't understand all the insults and bad mouthing of any race. It seems that some people just want to cause an uproar sometimes.

The more you interact with the different races the more you learn to except them cause when you pass by the on the street they don't know you so they tend to be snotty or to good but once you get to know them they can be your best friends.

What a lovely sentiment. I'm not racist and people who are irritate me. A human is a human, no matter the race, skin color, or religious beliefs. It's time the world understood that.

I think you are out of line with this question/comment especially with your generalizing of other cultures. Everyone's actions are just that their own individual actions and shouldn't be taken as proof of for where they came from and what culture or nationality they were born to.
