Well, pretty much, I have to agree with you.
Not because I don't like R&B, because I do. But the modern convention seems to be to call anything produced by a black artist R&B, and it's not! R&B stands for Rhythm and Blues, and half of the artists currently listed under this genre haven't got any rhythm!
