I had a normal period exactly one week ago, I started again today. There is alot of blood, but it is not as dark as a normal period and it is kind of thin and watery. Any thoughts?

I am on the pill, have been for years, but other than that, no other birth control.

I have made an appt with my doctor, but it is not until August 9th (earliest they had) I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this.

your birth control can mess you up even if you have been on it for years your body is is always changing in the menstral cycle even though you think its not, anything can trigger body changes your diet , stress, to much excercise or even not enough water sometimes your body can even stop a period from being backed up i know sounds funny just like a plumming but its true or maybe you had a cyst that busted birth controle can cause those i kinow , so i would call your dr if you feel uneasy or just see if your period is normal the next month

I don't know if you want to hear this, but is there any chance you could be pregnant? I experienced this last year and I was having a miscarriage. I had the normal period, then one week later, I had a "sort of" period that was heavier. I would go to another doctor or ER just to be sure

If it doesn't stop in about 4 days, go see your doc, if it continues he/she may recommend a hysterectomy.
