It's online, test page came out normal, but it won't print, it is shared on a network and it's set up through a print server not a pc. what could be the problem, need help quick.

Also i checked and it has 23 files pending, could that be the problem.

Quick fix is to delete the first program in the queue as that is the one that "hung". It may be OK after that.

Check the Que on the server. There might be a problematic file which is clogging the printing of any other documents.

you may have to reset the network connection. Quite often it becomes disconnected from the network server due to a power surge or other problem. Resetting the connection through the control panel should solve the issue.

The LaserJet 4 is pretty old, and HP's are usually hunks of garbage anyway, I reccomend Canon and Epson for printers. You said it was networked? Whichever computer it is hooked up to must be on, if that doesn't work, try replacing toner, and if that doesn't work, I think your printer has lived it's life.

the print server sounds like it either changed IP addresses, is not working, or is off the network.

If this is a node on your network, first ping it, and look is the printer look on network?
