Well, yea. But American men don't seem as vocal as foreigners when they're trying to "holla" at a girl.

Italian men in Italy are...shall we say..."forward"....It may be the country itself, though, or it rubs of on its residents because even an African man I ran into at Termini Station was a little too forward with his intentions :-(
I was groped by an older Italian "gentleman" on a night train to Rome from Nice (an "entertaining" story, let me know if you'd like to hear it) and then once we reached our destination in Rome the next morning (I did NOT sleep that night which was very unfortunate) he was "kind" enough to help me with my luggage.
At a market in Florence, even though I made it clear I wasn't going to buy anything from him, the vendor continued to flirt w/ me and asked me for coffee.
Being greeted with "Ciao Bellisima" and "Where are you from?" are common and pleasant conversation starters. And with a flair for the dramatics, un uomo (sp) italiano may stop in his tracks to do a double take at feminine beauty. LOL
Now I'm no great beauty nor have I been swinging from the ugly tree, but for any girl there's nothing like a trip to Italy to boost a girl's confidence. And I'm not alone in that sentiment :)

I hear that they are extreamly forward. Like, they will hit on you right in FRONT OF THEIR Girl! They will straight tell you that you are hot/beautiful and sexy and that they want to sleep with you (or have hot european sex with you). At least, that's what I hear. Italians are supa hot anywho. My hubby is half italian. Yummy.

probably, but i what i have heard is in italy a persons "space bubble" is smaller than in the US. so some might say that they are, but infact just behaving normally.
