The predominant amount of cannibals live in the Fiji Islands. They've had a program or two about that on the discovery channel. I'm sure there are plenty in the US

The Korowai tribe of southeastern Papua is one of the last surviving tribes in the world said to engage in cannibalism. In many wars in Africa, cannibalism is said to occur commonly, although in peacetime it does not appear to happen except for isolated cases involving traditional medicine.

There appear to be no cannibals (as a part of normal culture) in the US. Jeffery Dahmer was a deranged homosexual murderer said to have eaten part of the people he killed to keep them a part of him. He was killed in jail a few years ago by another inmate. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeffery_dahmer

The question is why do you think it is worth examining?

Cannibalism exists. One was caught maybe five years ago in the US. Forget his name. The guy worked in a chocolate factory, kidnapped kids in his area and did...what cannibals do. Finally got caught, thrown in jail and was killed by fellow inmates in no time flat.

I don't know if he's really a cannibal or not (I highly doubt it), but there is a guy who asks a lot of questions on here named scitzophreniccannibal.
