Our current government, espescially under the current leadership, has been consistently stripping our liberties, invading our lives, removing due process, creating more problems than they solve, and trending towards a theocracy.

We are very close to becoming what we left Brittan to escape.

Is anyone else as worried as you should be?

I really don't think you have put any intelligent thought into your question. Would you rather terrorists secretly plant a bomb in your family car to blow you up. Would you rather terrorists plant a biological or chemical weapon at your local movie theater while you watch the next Hollywood blockbuster and gasp violently for air while tearing at your skin because of the burning boils that have risen. Would you rather another terrorist attack take place because we only asked the imprisoned terrorists nicely to give us information or didn't listen to Habib's phone call to a fellow terrorist telling him when to crash his explosive laden truck into the sears tower. I think that the loss of a few minor liberties is nothing compared to the increased safety. As for Theocracy, it will never happen. There are more things being done to tear down the fabric of religion and morals in society than to build them up. Thank your ACLU for that.

Where have your rights been stripped? When has your life been invaded?. Due process of law has only been questioned as to the treatment of the prisoners at Gitmo. How has that affected you? Problems created and not solved is problematic of the Congress, not the administration. And a theocracy, if you understand it, is run through a central state-supported church.
The programs the government tried to capture terrorists with were not really known by most until released by the media, and they try to hype up the idea that these were infringing on us, when they weren't.

Let me ask you this just to play the other side.....what liberties has the gov't stripped you of? And how have they personally invaded your life more than before? I hear a lot of this but I personally don't see this. Have they taken away your vote or something? Have they invaded your privacy....I think many people are blowing this out of proportion. If the gov't wants to intercept phone calls between terrorists and those in the US I say let them....can you even prove that the people that were spied on were citizens of the US? The media has really played this one sided and there is a lot of spin.

Yes I too am worried about our government, both national and state, because our leaders are more concern about maintaining a good image by helping out other countries while at the same time we have domestic problems at home that surpass some of the lesser ones of the world. I feel that I country should really live by the Constitution and not by the dollar.

Yes. Look at all the other great empires that exsisted in the world. Like the Roman Empire, Egyptian Empire, Babylonia, and many others. All of those empires fell. This means that any country, in governed the wrong way, could become just a memory. Hopefully not, but possible.

Our current government isn't invading your life or removing your due process.

They weren't monitoring your phone calls. They aren't tracking your spending habits. They haven't touched your due process.

It's the terrorist we are after and it is the terrorist that our government is watching. Why doesn't anyone understand that? If you aren't involved with terrorists and you are paying your taxed then the government doesn't care who you are calling. As far as due process goes the supreme court over stepped its boundaries and went back on its own word when it said that these terrorists fall under the Geneva Conventions. I didn't see the terrorist in uniform...did you?

iam more worried about the people who complain and do nothing to make their voices heard.

we have representation in the government, we should be making our issues heard to those people.

work with your local congressman or woman, instead of sitting around being pissy. If you have a belief in something being wrong, chances are many others do as well. Be prepared to actually DO something beyond complaining, such as spending your own money for the cause of rallying support, getting signatures door to door, calling people, creating mailers, and licking envelopes.

Its not a perfect system, but as it sits you're still entitles to having a voice in the government, thats why we have congress people, to present our issues and push for bills and laws to be passed to fix them.

DO SOMETHING, not just whining.

Well I think you are an alarmist. The only rights that have been taken away from me have been the right to wear dirty sock on an airplane, because now we have to remove our shoes. You apparently have no clue what it is like to loose your rights. What can't you do now, that you could do before? I'd love to see an example. I haven't seen anyone provide one credible example yet.

Yes, I am worried about our government. They are limiting our rights more and more. They are giving themselves raises yearly while the normal person barely has enough to survive daily. Its hard not to think about it.

i love the theory of your question, yet ..... the in basic terms way you receives human beings to offer up having childrens they could't arise with the money for is to placed an end to social courses of any kind era. meaning no birth control help, no welfare help, and no help of any kind except what they get from relations, friends, and church. i'm no longer dense sufficient to ever believe that is going to ensue, yet in case you made human beings responsible for his or her habit, you ought to placed a supply as a lot as this cycle of one technology of womb-to-tomb welfare recipients having babies which will carry that legacy on. about the in basic terms opposite direction i will ascertain to offer up that is determined up some type of boot camp kind equipment to the position in case you prefer to sponge of authorities (imagine "taxpayers"), then we are gonna administration each and every component of your on a daily basis existence until eventually you are able to shield your self. actually, inform you even as to upward push up, what to do afterwards (job preparation, preparation, etc) and what time to flow to mattress. in case you don't like it, shield your self. again, doubt something like making human beings be responsible for his or her very own moves will ever ensue. fantastically with the loser in the white homestead and the congress we at present ought to conflict through by.
