In a way yes, it was bad luck that Zidane came across that sly Meterazzi whose mission was to provoke Zidane by insults.
It is a man's reflects being provoked and although I do not agree with Zidane's gesture, I understand his reaction.
If I were Zidane, I would continue the match and then after that, kick the sh** out of Meterazzi!
I hope Meterazzi bad luck for the rest of his dog's life.

well, yes. but i don´t mean that whatever he (zidane) did was right, but everythink went against their (france) way. he did this because mattarazzi (1st) held his arms, (2nd) he abused him, and (3rd) referree didn´t saw the incident, buffon (GK) was shouting "he hit him..... he hit him." because he (mattarazzi) was his team-mate, and secondly buffon was in the game. but zidane got red-card because the reserved-referee called the referee and said "i saw zidane hit him. give him a red-card." so according to the rules-and-regulation it was not right to give him a red-card because referee didn´t saw this. the reserved-referee is not allowed to get into the (anykind of) spat. if the reserved-referee saw (and said) zidane hitting him then he must´ve also seen what mattarazzi did(because they deserved a penalty-kick) it was a foul. and later on they (fifa) said that they saw it through a camera, then they decided to show him (zidane) a red-card. so this was also against the rules-and-regulation because you (referee) can´t see it through a camera.
if you don´t believe me. then just think why wasn´t luis figo given a red-card, "in the pre-quarterfinal, against netherlands". he also did the same thing (what zidane did) but no red-card.
why: just because the match-referee couldn´t see the incident. it´s not that, that he didn´t come know about it, but because he couldn´t see it.
thanks!
