How does what you see, hear, taste, touch affect your emotional state? Does it affect the way you interact with other people in your life?

Memories are recorded as full pictures or concepts so all information gets stored with the memory: all sensory and emotions. Also memory and emotions are both stored in the subconscious so they interplay a lot.

True Story: The smell of books makes my husband irate and irrational. As a kid, my husband was sent to the library during every class party (raised as a Jehovah's Witness). All of his anger, isolation from his peers, and their teasing, etc surface when he smells books even to this day.

You bet it does.
Maybe not every day, but most I should say.

I think its got a lot to do with memory.
Lets say your husband died and someone walks by wearing the same deoderant he use to...

or you eat seafood for the first time in a long time, and suddenly the taste reminds you of a date you had with someone who you really hate now...

or you listen to a song you haven't heard for ages, and it reminds you of a period in your life where you lived care free, or something of sorts.

I guess there's a lot of other ways your senses can effect your mood, just not anything else I can think of right now...

Okay, this is... well hokey...but over the 4th of July weekend I was standing in the kitchen making barbecue sauce. I could do it in my sleep... I've watched my dad make it since I was very small. I didn't realize this was the first time I'd made it since he died and by the time I had everything mixed together and tasted it to see if I'd gotten it right I was in tears.

mmmmmm yeah it does , but for me it is touch touch touch touch smell smell smell and groans hear hear hear hear ... i do not care about sight. nothing is better than , a nibble on your ear and whisper that tells you what you want to hear and a smell of breath that wafts on you cheek and ear straight to your nose and then the ultimate thing a long deep intense kiss that is it :))))))))))) then well ... enough i leave the rest to your imagination otherwise i will be called offensive and lewd.

if we are talking about a regular person , its smell , if they smell bad i am out

If someone's personal scent offends you then you know you can never be close with them. I'm extremely sensitive to that.
