It is not to be understood. It cannot be understood. The only way God could always have been is if he never were. Non existence is the true eternity.

If I can play on the idea, I will say that God was an outcast of a being he disagreed with. That greater God cast him into perdition, where he would float in limbo forever, as was his holy choice. God had his own ideals of goodness that conflicted with his creator. Lucifer would later mimic this egotistical act, but he stands in stark contrast to the love of God.

God does notoriously mention that we must not put any other God above him, for he is the "only" God. A jealous one indeed. Well I fail to see of whom he could possibly be jealous. Any higher concept of God, and that simply IS God if he is in fact the only God as he reputedly states. What other Gods, God? Okay, deny all other Gods. Sounds suspicious.

After a so called eternity, he created the heavens and the universe. He had no material to create this with, so he made it illusory. He created the appearance of something real when in fact we are all holograms so to speak. Creation is merely a suppositition for vast limbo. We are not really here, not here until we fill ourselves with God.

Hahaha, I'm just bullshittin'. There is no God. Therefore no origin of God. You are all alone. All you have are your brothers and sisters. The rest of humanity. Come on people now! Smile on your brother! Everybody get together, gotta love one another right now! All you need is love. All you need is love, love. Love is all you need.

Hey , lemme give the HIndu side of things.

See , this is something like the Big Bang Theory. You might have heard that the Hindu Gods are several. But the truth is that the Hindu and Greek Gods are human-like. Endowed with special powers, but still, human-like.

According to this, the Hindu Gods were all created by THE God, a feminine form called Aditi. It's not a woman woman. She is the Mother of ALL the HIndu Gods. She is something like a mega soul. Because she gave 'birth' to the Holy Trinity , she's attributed to be female.

Now , one of the Gods, Brahma , is the Creator of Life. And the Hindu belief is that (real or metaphorical) , this world that we are living in is NOT the real world. We are all figments of Imagination of Brahma. THIS is Maya. Maya means an illusion, a trick, the wool in wool-over-the-eyes.

And when the dream imagined by Brahma ends, so does the entire Universe. It's not going to happen anytime soon. It's written to happen some gah-zillion years later. ( I forget the number. It had loads of zeroes in the end.) That comprises of a DAY in Brahma's life.

But looking at it abstractly, WHERE and WHEN did God come from does not fit the definition of God. That's what every book says. Be it Bible or Quran or Gita.

In Hindu spirituality, for example, it is understood that God always was, always is, and always will be. Also, all creation is within God, a part of God. Just like you create thoughts and the thoughts are created out of your "substance", so is everything created by God and within God.

God is existence and non-existence simultaneously. God is what is and what is not. God is all possibility and simultaneously all non-possibility.

Just remember that your brain can never capture God. Why? Because God is always more than you think He is. God is always more. That's His nature. His nature is to be all-encompassing. There is nothing outside of Him. Nothing that He can exclude. Everything is included within Him.

So, when you are speaking of God, you're not really speaking of Him. In truth, there is a God that is beyond God. And that God cannot even be spoken of...

It's enough now to know where your question came from and to know that you are even greater than the question. And God is even greater than you (although you are also a part of Him).

But don't forget...the real God is even greater than all of that....which cannot even be spoken of...

nice questoin, well the answers is from nothing
funny huh,
well, in the beginning it was a state wher even nothingness did not exist. then nothingness came, then god formed himself from the nothingness. then he created the universe. sounds impossible? well this can actually be explained by science and mathematics through the chaos theory, energy physics, etc.
the anti christ is born and he plans to destroy god with the help of Satan. but, he doen't know that if he destroys God, the universe, me, you and him will self-destruct. then it become a state where even the first state I told will not exist. then i don't know what will happen.
But i think that near the end Lucifer will help God. It is just a hope.
PS:this is not given in the bible because the bible covers only what was there after the creation of the first phase of the universe.
Also god didn't just create our universe only, there are others also!

The only reason God (if there is one) has "always been" is that humanity created the concept eons ago. Let me explain: Humanity needed answers to basic everyday questions such as: Why do Volcanoes errupt? or Why does the sunrise/set? Since science was not existant the only answer could be forces beyond early humanities ability to comprehend...devine forces...GOD(s). As our science has answered many of these basic questions the pantheon of Gods (multitheism) narrowed down to the one all knowing/seeing/omnipotent GOD. God still exists today because Relligioin continues to exist as an institution and because there are still questions that remain unaswerable by current science such as: Why do we exist? or Why are we here? God did not come from anything or anywhere. He has always been. Read Exodus 3 for the story of Moses and the burning bush. This is where God says he is the "I am". There are some things that our minds can not comprehend and we just need take them on faith.

He created the universe and all that is in it not because he was "bored", but to bring glory and honor to himself. Then because of our sins that we brought on ourselves in the garden of Eden, God sent his son Jesus Christ to provide a way to be forgiven of those sins. And all we need to do to be forgiven and have eternal life in heaven is to believe that.

God has always been. He is eternal and everlasting. He has no beginning and no end. We can't define Him by our mortal terms. He doesn't have a sex, or race. He is all-powerful and all-knowing. He is a triune being. Comprised of three parts, yet still only One. He exists outside the arc of time, thus doesn't age, or any of the things that happen to us. I know that's hard to grasp.

It is my belief that Earth was not His first creation. But that is another question all together.

God is beyond our comprehension or imagination, He always was and will always be. He is like nothing ever seen or known or dreamed or imagined or fantasized, there is nothing in existence similar to Him, this is according to Islamic teachings.

In the Holy Qur’an Allah says about Himself in the famous Ayat al-Kursi: “Allah! There is no God but He, the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permits? He knows what (appears to His creatures as) Before or After or Behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He wills. His Throne does extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them, for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory).” (Al-Baqarah: 255)

It is a fundamental faith in Christianity, Islam and Judaism, that God is and always will be. Faith is a firm belief in something for which there is no proof (http://www.merriam-webster.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?va=faith) Therefor there is no need to fully understand, just to believe and have faith.

He was just there, in the beginning. People don't understand because the mere thought is inconceivable, just like infinity and the end of time.
