A hexagon has 6 sides. If a hexagon is put side to side it will have 4 sides that are not connected But the ends of each will have 5 sides since it is the end.
4*48=192
2*5=10
192+10=202

As, 50 hexagons are connected side by side, and each side is 1dm, the perimeter of the first hexagon is 6dm, while the perimeters of each hexagons after the first is 5dm. So, the total perimeter of all the hexagons is as follows:
6dm +(49*5)dm = 6dm+245dm
= 251dm.
