RAZR is a quad band phone running on the GSM Network. GSM is available in Europe. You will roam on TMobile Europe, or another GSM carrier such as Orange.

The fellow above has it all wrong. Phones that run of Satellites are called Satellite phones! World phones are phones that are compatible with frequencies that are available in all countries. Your RAZR is a Quad band GSM phone running on GSM 800, 900, 1800, and 1900. These frequencies are available world wide which make it a world phone. The guy above me is talking jibberish. You will be fine.

RAZR will work but you must call TMobile to give you access to international roaming. Cause once you're out of the country, there is nothing they can do to unlock your roaming. You must unlock international roaming and add it to your plan in the States. Rates are based the service agreements with each countries GSM network carrier so be prepared to pay a stupid amount of money when you use your phone overseas. The phone works just like it does in the states. You turn it on and make phone calls.

Also be prepared that if you are roaming and you don't answer your phone and it goes to voice mail, they will charge you for that as well. It's a complicated reason which I was given the answer to. Strength of signal??? Are you crazy? That depends on where you are, just like in the States. No one person can tell you what the signal will be like on Monday while you are standing at the Airport in Madrid, Spain.

You might not recieve service in those areas unless you have a world phone (I'm not sure if the razr is a world phone). Regular cell phones work off of cell towers, which provide service within a certain range(that is why you get a signal strength), But a world phone is usually run off of satelites, that is how they can work in other countries.

I had a RAZR countless years in the past. i'm specific they have enhanced them as a results of fact that then, yet mine replaced right into slightly crap. i could have picked very almost any telephone over it. you're able to swap to verizon and get a Droid. i like mine. i'm on it precise now. As for Virgin cellular, i don't be conscious of plenty approximately them yet i think like somebody advised me that they have undesirable insurance. i could prob persist with AT&T in the previous i could swap to a business enterprise you're uncertain of. Plus, AT&T has the iphone.
