I won't give you the answer but if you draw a 15 Centimeter square on a sheet of paper and measure the diagonal in Centimeters then you would have the same result in Decimeters.

Because squares are by definition equal sided in length and contain right angles, you can use this formula to find your info.

A² + B² = C²

A=15 (one side of the square)
B=15 (another side of the square)
C=? the hypotenuse (I think thats the right spelling) which means the diagnonal that you are looking for

(A * A) + (B * B) = C * C

(15*15) + (15*15) = C * C

225 + 225 = C * C

450 = C * C

C = 21.213203435596425732025330863145

square root of (15decimeter^2 + 15decimeter^2)
= square root of (225decimeter + 225decimeter)
= square root of 450
= 21.213 decimeter
