Italian! Zidane can speak/ understand several languages and Italian is one of them since he played in Italy for some time.

Since zidane used to play with juventus (an italian team) he obviously lived in italy and knows the language , so they spoke italian between them.

It could of also been in English cuz no doubt Zidane knows English and Materazzi might too, u never know!

Well mate it depends… You can call someone’s mother speaking your language and if he doesn’t speak your language he won’t understand you…
But in Zizou and Materazzi’s case was different – Italian and French are very similar…
Maybe he said Terrorist in Italian (Zidane played in Juve for quite some time)

If they're club mate's or formal club mates, they speak the language of the country they play club football. For example, David Beckham definitely speaks some Spanish and could communicate with Luis figo, or RAUL or team mates Ronaldo and Carlos
