There have been documentaries and other reports that we didnt have the technology to do so. Supposedly, the radiation levels on the moon are too high for humans--even in special space suits.

Yes, I believe NASA landed on the moon. One piece of evidence is a set of retroreflectors left in three Apollo missions, that have been used to calculate and track the distance between the Earth and the Moon. A lunar cartography satellite is scheduled to be launched by the Indian space program in 2008; its camera should be powerful enough to show pictures of the Apollo landing sites...although conspiracy theorists will then insist the Indians are in on the moon hoax.

As for the radiation, astronauts would experience an increase in radiation exposure on a lunar mission, as they move beyond the Earth's magnetosphere. However, the short duration of the trip (8-9 days) means there is a low exposure time, and the magnitude of exposure depends on the magnitude of the solar particle events (solar flares) that occur, which is a fairly unpredictable science. NASA's current Exploration Systems Architecture Study - which is publicly available and offers more information that you could possibly want on the future of American spaceflight - estimates a 0.03 percent chance of a debilitating illness due to radiation during an average lunar mission. It should be noted, however, that the Apollo astronauts did suffer from a higher percentage of cancerous tumors.

Finally, a longer, more permanent presence on the lunar surface would result in a greater risk of radiation poisoning unless better protection is provided. Some planners suggest burying a permanent lunar base under the surface; the lunar soil sould provide a natural shielding.

I’ve read many of the theories and none of them seem to hold water if you look at them realistically. If one looks at the necessary logistics of faking a landing, you can see that there is no way that it could be faked. More work would go into doing the “Fake” than the “Real Thing”. First, the rocket and all the equipment used to send the astronauts to space (Saturn) and recover them would still need to be built and flown. This was all in the public view. Next, consider all the people that were involved in the program, the people who built the rocket and capsule, the ground personnel, recovery personnel and all the support people. By now, somebody or a group of people would have said something or provided some real evidence. Yes – You could argue that everyone was loyal or killed, but there would be someone out there who would talk.

If you would research it, for every piece of “evidence” in the photos and documents, there is a logical and/or scientific explaination.

Everybody should know that the U.S. Air Force had nothing to do with the Apollo program. It was a NASA only program. Some of the astronauts were Air force officers, but more were Navy officers. And some were civilians.

And the whole idea that the landings were fake is just ridiculous. People who say radiation in space would have killed the astronauts don't know s#!+ about radiation.

Yes. We didn't have the technology to fake it back then. Other countries would have jumped all over that scandal if we had tried it. Radiation?!... some people who didn't have an adequate education and a thorough understanding of the situation thought that up. If the radiation is so bad...? Why have all the other people who walked on the moon since 1969 come back alive? (There is minute-by-minute documentation of every moonwalk ever attempted) I don't understand where the grey area is here. We landed, that's all.

don't listen to that crap. If we didn't land on the moon, the Soviets would have made damn sure everyone knew we didn't. The US has brought in hundreds of kilograms worth of Moon rocks to Earth. These rocks have been examined, and tested countless times in labarotories all over the world in countries that have no reason to keep a coverup going. Not one report questions the validity of those moon rocks because they contain Isotopes and things that are not found anywhere on Earth. You might say, "well they used unmanned probes" but those unmanned probes could not carry hundreds of kilograms of Moon rock back. The Soviets had unmanned vehicles on the moon and they could only bring back a couple hundred GRAMS.

Nope a very good scam which now has cost probably trillions of dollars in tax money, look at all the space shuttle disasters I mean this is just attempts to really get there now.

yes

if we didnt actually do it, dont you think the russians would have made the news public?????????

they observed everything that we did via radio and radar

Note to self: when watching the sci-fi or history channel listen for the keywords that say everything you are watching is BS

The counter-reports are also very good showing how silly these conspiricy theories really are.
