i dont like the beach boys

Good Vibrations and also Heroes and Villians. Kokomo isn't really by The Beach Boys, Mike Love was simply using The Beach Boys name. If you ask me, no Brian WIlson, then it isn't The Beach Boys.

When I Grow Up To Be A Man - I find it naively ironic. They were bad boys in reality, but they projected this innocent idea of what a young boy hopes, expects or is afraid to be when he grows up. Very interesting.

California Girls, of course. It evokes a certain image of a Southern California blonde, although we know folks come in many colors. The whole cultural trip was a lotta fun, & so were other images & ideas all thrown in together...having fun, but having a bit of thinking, too. Here's to the California youth, both then & today, & here's to the older, somewhat wiser older Wise Women of the West, & of course, to all those guys, too.

My favorite is "In My Room". I love this song because it describes what I believe my room is to me-a place where I can go and shut out the world for a while.
