I don't know the provocation to Zidane but seems like very serious against Zidane...Zidane is a genious footballer and the coolest player when the ball at his leg..Not like that clumsy Italian player..Poor Zidane..He's the best!

The Paris-based anti-racism advocacy group SOS-Racism issued a statement Monday quoting "several very well informed sources from the world of football" as saying Materazzi called Zidane a "dirty terrorist." It demanded that FIFA, soccer's world governing body, investigate and take any appropriate action.
Materazzi admitted he insulted Zidane before the France captain head-butted him, but denied calling him a "terrorist."
"I did insult him, it's true," Materazzi said in Tuesday's Gazzetta dello Sport. "But I categorically did not call him a terrorist. I'm not cultured and I don't even know what an Islamic terrorist is."
The 32-year-old Inter Milan player did not elaborate exactly on what he said to Zidane.
"It was one of those insults you're told tens of times and that always fly around the pitch," he said.

I was watching Fox News this morning. They said somebody hired a professional lip reader to find out. The lip reader said that the guy said something like Zidane was a son of a terrorist... basically a momma joke.

Does it matter ?
So its like , I'm a Professional financial advice . I come to work today and a co-worker taunting and verbally insulted me , so I decided to headbutt him .
Imagine how our society would be if everyone of us react that way . Verbally insults happen everyday, everywhere .
Zidane had a chance to gain a "God" status in Soccer , among with Pele, Maradona etc. But he chose to be so human with angry and stupidity .
