okay, I am still confused I have a version and it sounds like Ricky Nelson, but the original is John Gummoe & The Cascades

The Cascades did sing it originally, but it was also recorded by Gary Lewis & The Playboys in 1968 on their album"Close Cover Before Playing".

The original of Rhythm of the Falling rain was by Ricky Nelson.

Rhythm Of The Rain...Cascades. Its on an oldies cd I have. I'm old enough to remember that song well from the 60's.
