I don't know. But they had been talking for a while. who says it's not Zidane who provoked him? He isn't a Saint yet.

Zidane then allegedly told Materazzi that if he really wanted to have his shirt, he could have it afterwards. It is unclear what Zidane specifically said , but the claim is backed by Zidane's body language as he walked past Materazzi. so, zidane is still the gentleman of soccer and materazzi just another italian mascalzone that doesn't respect real value

They are saying that he called him a "terrorist". Materazzi said that he insulted him alright, but he didn't call him a terrorist. Nobody knows what exactly what they said except for Zidane and Materazzi.

Nobody knows and no point in making assumptions. Did anyone here know that Zidane has a history of anger problems? He headbutted another player when he used to play for Juventus and was banned from 4 games.
