They are very good looking. One day, you find a tape marked
"Extreme Makeover" and play it. They are the subject of the show...they had a huge nose, rotted teeth, strange body shape... and no fashion sense.
You are engaged to be married. In the year you have known them, none of this was mentioned...
What is your take on the situation?

Do you love him or not?! You have to decide this!

that if you would have met them they way they used o be then you may have not gotten together, been happy and gotten engaged to be married. If it really matter to you talk to them ask them why they went through this and never told you, the reasons why ppl go on these shows is to find love and happiness and if you have that why should you let something so small as plastic surgery ruin that. So learn to leave with the fact that yo man had some work that he felt would build his confidence, pride and self love and be there and be supportive cause yo feel in love with the person not the looks (hopefully).

OH My Gosh! No fashion sense!!! Say it isn't so! Who cares. If you are engaged to that person it is because you love him or her and looks really shouldn't matter. I don't think keeping a secret like this is a bad thing. Now, not telling your other half that you have a child or that you're married...now that's bad! But who's going to pull out pictures of when they looked like an ogre and say, "Darlin', here's what our babies will look like one day!". If I were the fiance of this person I may be a little shocked upon finding out, but would be very shallow to split!

My opinion is most of us go through a stage in life when we feel we're not attractive whether its pimples in High School, baby fat, a big nose, and we feel really bad and self concious about it. If this person is now a happy, confident, loving human being who cares what was the past? Throw the tape away! Life is about growing and changing, and the past is the past.

people hide from themselves in many ways and for many reasons. I'd want to know why she lied about who she was. A friend suffered a gas explosion that left a lot of scars, she was a beautiful, drop dead georgeous girl.and a wonderful person. After the accident, she was a different person. She dropped out of public, even quit church, became a recluse.. and eventually i lost contact with her... plastic may have been a real help to her, but it made no difference to those of us who loved her.

That they are very embarrassed by the way they used to look and I'd say nothing. To take issue with it would indicate that I was a very shallow person, which I'm not. It simply wouldn't matter. I'd put the tape back where I found it and hope someday, when he felt comfortable enough to do so he'd choose to share it with me, if not, so be it. It's his choice.

Depends how great their insides were. If decent but not great, I would break it off. If they had a great personality, I would stay, but adopt instead of have a biological child. :-)

Really, people are "ugly" in other ways -- "I used to beat my girlfriend" or "I was overweight and let myself go" -- but since have redeemed themselves. In this case I think they deserve a second chance.

The fact they didn't mention it isn't that big a deal if there was a good reason.

So if this person was ugly you would have never talked to them or dated them? Shame on you. You marry the person inside not what they look like. You should ask them what possesed them to do the makeover. Remember beauty is skin deep we all have ugly insides.

It depends, but if i love the person more of her inner personality, then I find out her surgeries,I think that is not a big deal, you marry her for what she is and not because she looks perfect!

I may send them back for a touch up.

But other wise who cares. You love the person not the construction.
