You might do well in getting a couple of indian (laboratory) stick insects from a pet shop. They do not have to mate to breed, and once they start laying eggs they never seem to stop.

You can get info on them really easily on the internet.

you should never give anything that you have got from a pet store any wild caught food, as they have loads of different parasites that could kill your pet. do not ever give them wild insects. are you crazy? do you not know how to look after your lizards? you should always buy your food from a store, yer it costs but once you have them if you get a small tank for them to live in and feed them, they should breed then your o.k. Get a book on it. You should have learnt all this stuff before you got the animal.

idiot!

Night time would be best with a big white sheet and a lamp shining on it. Don't kill any moths though, some might be rare. Just take the nasty little critters. Lifting up a few stones will reveal all sorts, woodlice, etc. Or long grass for grasshoppers and crickets - they're easy to catch.

You can breed woodlice and edible snails easily in plastic aquariums, then you know they haven't been exposed to insecticides. Woodlice need a layer of peat then some bark and paper, and dead leaves. Snails need a thick layer of peat and a cool damp environment.
For fish try brine shrimp and a tank of daphnia. Also an ant farm for ants eggs.
You can get kits and instructions off the internet.

Add some jam to a jug of water, stir it and place it outside and leave it for a few days, it will be full of insects. Trust me it works.

I think that you should just buy some dead crickets (in a can) at the store. It'll make life easier.

don't bother. just buy yourself some feeder crickets at the pet store. it'll take you a lot less time and they aren't very expensive.
