Mammals are a class of vertebrate animals with mammary glands. In females the mammary glands produce milk. Mammals are also characterized with hair and fur and are "warm-blooded" (meaning their bodies generates its own heat).

I also wanted to add that giving birth is not a necessary trait to be a mammal. The platypus for instance is a mammal with all the above traits and it lays eggs.

Humans are mammals. Mammals have hair, are warm blooded, and give their young milk. Mammals comes from the word "mammary" which also supports the fact that mammals give milk to their young. Other mammals are cats, dogs, mice, and monkeys.

Mammals are animals usually with hair or fur, the mother's can feed their babies with their milk, they have lungs, live on land, and most live on land like the cat and dog and monkey families, but others live in water like whales or dolphins.

anything that breathes air .Fish don't need oxygen to survive .Its not like they need to come out of the water to breathe.But a dolphin or whale does .They are mammals.Any animal on land is a mammal as well

Whales, dolphins and porpoise are mammals also along with kangaroos, koalas, wombats, numbats, wallaroos, Tasmanian devils, wallabies, platypus, echnida; the list is quite extensive.
