plan a nice romantic get away at a nice hotel, send him a letter teling him to met you there, before he gets ther have the place filled with candles, flowers, and finger foods that you can feed each other. Go to Victoria Secret and buy something very naughty and sexy. Make sure that he shows up do everything in your power to make him think it's a surpis party, when he shows up make sure the desk gives him a key. But don't be in the room, be in th car, leave a note on the door telling him to go in and once he's in, you come knocking at the door in yo sexy and naughty outfit and take it from ther. Good luck!

Blind fold and kidnap him from work. Make reservations at a quiet, secluded getaway or nice hotel. Have chocolate covered strawberries, a nice wine or champagne to start. Order room service or have his favorite foods catered in at a set time and then enjoy the rest of the night doing what the two of you do best together. Some hotels have all inclusive packages as do some resort areas. Good luck and happy birthday to your hubby!

Is it a major birthday, like 40 or something? Try having a few close friends and family arrive at a restaurant before both of you come in, then it will surprise him, make them park around back. Have dinner and invite evryone back home for cake, coffee and presents-sound good?

You do all the planning for whatever you do. Give his brain the day off. I'd suggest kayak lessons or some other outdoor activity he may not have tried. And PLEASE don't give him problems to solve. Again, let his brain focus on fun instead of day-to-day stuff.
Oh, and hint that there will be gratification at the end of the evening. He'll have something to look forward to. Have fun!

say 1 day or 2 days b4 feel sick & pretend your don't remember its his day.
then on the d-day, buy him what he has always wanted to buy either for the house, the kids or you and get someone to deliver before he goes out for the day (very early) as he is about to leave the house for the days work & as he comes to say someone send this this early start to sign him a b/day song.

Ignore him the whole day and make it seem like you forgot completely. Let him get good and pissed. If he actually mentions it to you, COMPLETELY blow him off. Then, when he's getting ready to go to bed, you'll be in there wearing a teddy.
