i have the same problem
if you firstly put a little bit of vaseline on your lips, or on her lips as it were, then it should help.
then you can apply the lip gloss of her choice over the top, and then the vaseline acts as a barrier to the lip gloss which can sometimes have acids and chemicals in that eats away at your lips.
if this still doesnt help then try FCUK's lick me gloss, its really good and tastes minty too.
hope this helps!!

No gloss is really "bad" but I would stick to a lighter, less sticky one. The Body Shop has some good ones, MAC Lipgelee has a nice texture, and believe it or not Wet n' Wild actually has a good lipgloss.
If her lips are dry, mine get this way in the winter, tell her to exfoliate them with a mixture of honey & brown sugar. The brown sugar will slough off dead skin cells & the honey is actually moisturizing. Besides, it tastes good! Then she should put some Vaseline on her lips while she sleeps. Not real fancy or glamorous, but it works! I hear Angelina Jolie uses it too...

Sometimes your lips can start to depend on the gloss for the source of moisture. That is not really good.... I guess you can say they are addicted! Had this problem also.... what she needs to do is buy Carmax. Get the little container.... the onle that you apply the gloss with your finger to use. It is a healer for lips and it will fix them right up... but the good part is that it is also really glossy! =)

I am a crusader AGAINST waxy sticks. I don't allow my daughter to use them. Wax keeps moisture out- thereby creating a need to reapply almost constantly. Think about how often you see kids- boys and girls who carry those things around in their pockets and reapply with almost habitual zeal. BADNEWS for the lips. I saw a cute line at TARGET this weekend called Karma- and they had a darling assortment of 5 little lip glosses with little attachments on them for a keychain or backpack zipper. I think they were 4.99. I bought them for my daughter- they smelled great, the shades were subtle, and the components were almost identical to the SUGAR lipglosses which are WAY WAY more expensive.

Hi, Go to www.wonderful.myarbonne.com and check out their About Face Makeup line. Arbonne products are pure, safe and beneficial. They have no animal by-products and are never tested on animals. If you want to know what goes into OTC makeups and lotions google "rendering plants." It may be something from this that is causing your daughters lips to dry out. You can pay a 29.00 consultant fee to get a 35% on all Arbonne products. This does not mean you have to sell anything. It's like a Sam's club membership.

Tinted Megabalm from Good Skin at Kohl's. The original Megabalm is a very thick, glossy, moisturizing balm that stays on forever. The tinted kind (new) does the same but comes in like 8 different shades. Very cool. I love it.
