I don't know how much 25 dollars is in pounds, but that's usually what I spend. However, close relatives (immediate family) usually receive gifts between 50 and 100 dollars. For instance, I usually spend around 100 or more dollars on my mom, 50 - 75 dollars on my grandma, and 20 - 25 dollars on my aunts and uncles.

About $10.00 (US) I shop all year and find nice things on sale. The I usually have a coupon to use on top of the sale price. I might have spent 7-10 dollars, but they are getting a $25.00 gift.

On my husbands side, being that there are more people, we draw names, and then concentrate on that person, and spend 25 or more bucks on a gift.
On my side of the family, we buy the married couples something together, and then the little kids, which theres only 3, so we get out of it cheap. Ya gotta cut it some where, right?

It depends... My sister gives me cheap, ugly stuff. She gets the same in return! Everyone else gets $25. gift cards from Walmart this year(the family is just TOO big! My 17 year old $250.00 PLUS.. she always wishes for a new guitar! The dog gets a new bone, squeeky toy and collar about $15.

Each year we set a limit..it varies. Most of the time we set a $20 limit..but we also draw names. The smaller children (ages 5 and under) are always bought for and it's about the same amount.
