nope. at age 18 she becomes an adult. Yet if you decide you want to be her caregiver you can choose to. You have a couple options. You can add her to your insurance policy for a minimal fee since she is in college. "if she is enrolled" and once she gets the proceedure you can take her back off it. I know she is being hard headed right now and not wanting to live with you and follow your rules, but the fact is you love her and dont want her to get hurt, so if i were you i would atleast see if you can help with the treetment she needs, And as far as college cost goes, and credit debt.. well she better get a job or just be like the average american and be in debt. College loans are not to bad to repay!

Keep your head up, she will come around in the end

You are under no obligation to her or her debt unless your name is on her account(s). She's 19 and responsible for her own actions in the eyes of the law.

No, you are under no obligation for her debt unless you co-sign for her on any accounts. Many parents can't even afford to pay for their children's education. Your daughter should appreciate what you can give her and it doesn't seems like she does.

No one has ever been legally obligated to pay for college. Don't let her "guilt" you into it. You've set rules, and she has made the choice to go her own way. Let her go her way and see where it leads. At some point, she needs to pay the penalty for her own mistakes.

no way... when we get accounts for dependants over the age of 18 they get their own account and we do not even attempt to collect from the parents unless they signed a financial responsiblity form if they were under their insurance.
