While most of the storylines are fake the actual pain really isn't. The wrestlers do get hurt or some have even died. They (at least the older ones) bleed real blood. So the outcome is probably planned but the pain is not.

Hmm...good question. Well yeah I guess. I thought it wasn't fake until Vince McMahon owned it, but as I did some research ECW is fake. Why doesn't it look fake? Look at the name Extreme Championship Wrestling. They are more agressive than WWE wrestling so that's probably why it doesn't look fake.

Fake in the sense that everything is staged.
Have you seen Olympic-level wrestling? That's real wrestling without the posturing, the bombastic speechifying, the using of chairs as weapons, the "distracted" referees while patently illegal moves are employed and the oozing sex appeal.
This is not to say that these wrestlers are not athletes. They have to have a fine sense of timing and showmanship to make it look like a vicious, violent sport is unfolding, but it is soap opera, only instead of ending up in bed, they end up on the canvas.
And it's also not to say that they don't sometimes get genuinely hurt, but the matches are pre-ordained. The winner is already decided, just like any piece of stagecraft of movie making. They are just teasing you.

no wrestling is not f-in fak its scripted but the in ring action is real the only thing is when they punchin and lik the person missin the hit and the other person falls n.e way thats to not make it look fake even though it really does but hey wit all these damn people say its fake what r they supposed to do ECW IS CRAP NOW I DONT CARE IF THEY R BRANCH TO WWE

some is fake and some isnt.... the parts when they talk and stuff is all rehersed and the punches and stuff r fake. but when they jup off the turnbuckle its not fake but they know how to land so they dont get hurt real bad... but most of it is fake

The whole story line is fake becuase they are all buddies but the fighting is mostly real

Yea a lot is fake but they really do get hurt. Same with WWE.

who will be the winner is fake and the punches are fake. they never seem to get hurt, ok some bleed, but most never get a black eye, oe a fat lip. they fighr almost everyday. its fake.

yes it is fake in the fact it is all planned out, but they really do perform the stunts obvisouly. But they are professional actors, and most people dont realize that.
