I think the real Oprah would be able to spell her own name. Anyway what you can do is chin (head-butt) them...while they are picking their teeth up you make a fast get-a-way. Easy eh? But If you aren't the violent type then you could pretend you are window-shopping or suddenly 'recognise' somebody further on down the foot-path and wave frantically at them.

You have a right to do what you want with your money, and if you don't feel like putting your money in tin-shakers simply shake your head or look the other way and keep getting up. Lords know about all the other wonderful things you've done. Don't sweat the small stuff!

Real simple - you just arrange to stumble into them and knock over their tin so all the money falls out. Then you help them recover the money but palm a few coins for yourself. Once the recovery is complete, you say, 'I'm so sorry about - here let me give you some money' and put the coins you palmed back in the tin.
If they've just started their shift and the tin is empty when you walk by, just sneer (or spit if you're in the mood) at them and tell them to work harder.

Think about the awkwardness of being a charity tin-shaker, and realize how good you have it.

Real Oparh or not, here's the answer:

Don't carry small change. Then you can tell the person that you are sorry but you do not have any change on you. Or go further and don't carry any money, just cards. Then you can honestly tell them you have no cash on you at all.
